FORFEITS GAME
This a forfeits game where the children each pick a numbered lolly stick 1-15 corresponding to a forfeit they have to do if they want to win points for their team. This game is best played for lessons just before the holidays as once again competition is fierce - especially when sweets are up for grabs. I made the points tally as follows :
Here are my forfeits :
1. Name 2 actors who have played james Bond in movies.
2. Sing some of 'Rock DJ'
3. How many times have England won the World Cup ? When ?
4. 20 secs to draw Santa Claus on the board.
5. Name 3 members of the Royal family.
6. Say 'Peter Piper ......' 3 times as quickly as possible.
7. Say the alphabet.
8. Name 2 Shakespearian plays.
9. Name 3 English Premiership football teams.
10. Tell about/describe an English breakfast for 25 secs.
11. Sing 'We wish you a Merry Xmas'
12. Who is the current British PM?
13. Name 3 British pop groups.
14. Put in order from North to South (Carlisle, London, Birmingham, land's End)
15. Write 5 words associated with Xmas on the board in 25-30 secs.
Here are more forfeits I used :
1. Draw Zinedine Zidane on the board (25 secs)
2. Name 3 British pop groups ending with -s.
3. Say the alphabet backwards.
4. Sing some of 'Daddy DJ'.
5. Who is the current England footie manager?
6. Talk about/describe London in 30 secs.
7. Are they English ? Roger Moore / Pierce Brosnan / Sean Connery (tick which are)
8. Put in order from North to South (Brighton, Newcastle, Nottingham, Bristol)
9. Where in England are the 2 biggest unis?
10. Write 3 sports on the board in 10 secs.
12. Mimic a stereoptypical Englishman for 25 secs.
13. £1 is currently equivalent to how many € ?
14. Name 3 current Premiership players.
15. Darw an English breakfast on the board (20 secs)
Evidently these are just my ideas and the questions can be adapted in any way you wish, i.e if you haven't a clue about Premiership football or James Bond then obviously omit those questions. It's actually quite a challenge thinking of forfeits to give them because they must be neither too easy nor too hard.
note : they hate singing forfeits, so if I were you I'd give them 15 singing ones !!
